So i was in this bank (i think). Either way it was a huge elaborate building filled with people going about there business. In the center of the building was a huge wooden grand stair case with gray marble stairs. The stair were bent at a rounded right angle creating a balcony the overlooked an area downstairs the lead back under the stairs with doors of offices back there. Directly in front of me was a big glass door and glass windows from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, all with privacy glass as well creating a gray tone to the outside light. I was standing on the balcony surveying the area and talking with two friends (one a girl and one a boy of Asian decent, no idea who they were never seen them before) I looked up and saw another balcony of the second floor with a railing of glass and more offices behind it.
Next thing i knew a man walked in the front door and started shooting the place up. He was wearing a blue suit, black tie and had light auburn hair. He was middle aged and his laugh lines were beginning to show. Before i had a chance to blink people were dropping like flies around me. My friends and I both managed to duck behind the balcony wall.
After a while the place fell silent. Bodies littered the stairs and debris from the building created a mess of dust and concrete. The guy was talking about sectioning off the areas of the building, and going through each one at a time and obliterating anything/anyone that was still alive. Our territory was called the Las Vegas area.
My friends and i were still alive for now and we knew we had to do something to get out of there. However if we even so much as stuck a finger out it would be blown off. Just then an older lady wearing a lavander colored shaw started to crawl over to us because she heard our plans of escape. She accidentally stood up just enough that the arch in her back grazed the guys sight line. She was shot and killed right instantly in front of us. As soon as the woman dropped to the ground there was a immediate blackout.
You couldn’t see an inch in front of your nose which meant we were in that building past nightfall. From the dark we heard the man start calling out the areas. First was New York, then there was a furry of gunshots and bullets ricocheting off of things. Then came the worst silence in all of history. Time that felt forever passed by and my friends were about to cross the line into hysteria.
Suddenly a light illuminated on a wall showed clockwork gears and gadgets. It flashed a few minutes then we went back to the blackness just as the man called out another area. this time it was Los Angeles. Shot were heard above us this time and we figured we had to be next. The boy that was with me finally went off the deep end and decided to end his life by climbing up on the concrete that fell in front of us. Sadly he was shot and killed before he could even get up on the concrete the whole way.
Then there were two and the clockwork light began to shine once again. I was able to get a glance of the girl though the silhouette caused by the light. I saw the girl had cheeks stained with tears and dust and i said “we’ll get through this.”
Longer time passed then the last pause and the agony of the waiting began to drive the woman into madness. Then we heard the word we didn’t want to hear coming from behind us on top of the 2nd floor balcony. “Las Vegas” my heart began to race and i ducked as low as i possibly could into the floor and the curve of the stairs.
Needless to say the sound of the bullets whizzed passed my ear hitting things that seemed only feet from my body. 30seconds seemed like 10 hours not knowing whether or not i would survive. after the bullets subsided i called for the other girl.
Then there was one.
